Responsibilities Include:

• Assiting with handling material (by hand and with forklift)
• Loading material onto trucks for shipment
• Unloading incoming material from a truck onto shipping/receiving dock
• Assisting with physical inventory
• Helping with packing material

Requirements for Position:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Warehouse or Plant Experience
• Experience operating a forklift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to get along with others
• Must be dependable

CDL Drivers for Parsippany, NJ Branch

A.J. Oster is currently seeking experienced CDL class A drivers. More than 1 position is open. We are looking for full-time availablity. Our drivers make deliveries both locally (NJ/NY) and to the surrounding states (PA, CT, DE, MD). Drivers work during the daytime.

Requirements for Position:

• CDL Class A driver’s license
• Min 2 years experience driving tractor trailers and flatbed trucks
• Driving record in good standing, free of any violations
• Dependable, hard-working and a positive attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent

Inside Sales Rep for Parsippany, NJ Branch

Alumet Supply, a division of A.J. Oster, is an industry leader in the aluminum sheet and coil distribution business. With multiple service centers located across North America, Alumet Supply services all areas of the US, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. We are currently seeking a qualified Inside Sales Representative to join our Parsippany, NJ sales team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting customers daily on both a contractual and transactional basis
• Preparing quotes for customers, ensuring correct gross margin is provided
• Responding to status inquiries from customers
• Process all orders as received promptly, ensuring accuracy
• Identify, record, and recommend solutions for any problems relating to the product and/or quality
• Interacting with operations personnel to assist in meeting customer requirements
• Daily communication and sales support for outside sales reps

Requirements for Position:

• 3-5 years of customer service or sales experience
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to solve problems and resolve conflict
• Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Excel
• Detail-oriented and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills; must have the ability to quickly adapt to different personalities
• Strong knowledge of wholesale/retail sales principles, methods and practices
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Prior sales experience/knowledge of the metals industry is a plus

Maintenance Mechanic for Fullerton, CA Branch

Responsibilities Include:

Maintaining, repairing and modifying all manufacturing machines and facility equipment. Machines/equipment include slitters, cut-to-length lines, blanking lines and more.

Requirements for Position:

Must have mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills
Relevant prior experience is a plus
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) would be helpful
