What is Pretreat Aluminum?

A special formulated coil process that leaves both sides of the aluminum sheet free from all contaminants. Sometimes pretreat is referred to as “Alodine” or “Conversion Coat.” When mill finish aluminum is pretreated, all the residual oil from the rolling mill is removed. After mill finish aluminum is pretreated, it is will be able to accept paint coatings, decorations, adhesives, or other special coatings.
